Due to a little technical issue, the podcast debut has been delayed until Monday. C’est la vie. Shoganai. It’s just the way it is, baby.
Tune in on Monday for the new prompt AND podcast.
Thanks for understanding!
Here’s how it is going to work:
Every submission will be assigned a number. I will then draw two numbers in order to randomly select the stories that will be read for the podcast.
Monthly extended episodes:
At the end of every month, I will randomly select a contributor to interview. Every contribution equals an entry into this lottery. So if you contribute four stories for the month, you will have four chances versus the one chance you will have if you only contribute once.
The podcast will be hosted by me, for the most part. There will be opportunities for guest hosts in the future, so stay tuned for that. I would also be keen to have writers read their own stories but that might not always be possible, logistically.
I see the podcast aspect of Mercurial Stories as a way of adding another dimension to your stories as well as getting you writers more exposure. I also think, honestly, that it will be fun and give you more motivation to write, even when you don’t feel like you can manage anything near 500 words.
So let’s give it a try this week, okay? Okay.
